Check out this cool webinar about migrating raptors! Since last week's post was about Braddock Bay, I thought that this would be appropriate for this week.

Spirit Animal Update!

I am back with another Spirit Animal and I am so sorry I forgot to post yesterday anyhow I have decided that I will post spirit Animal info on Monday’s instead of Friday’s starting today! Today’s animal is:

The Falcon:

The characteristics of the Falcon are speed, superiority, determination, loyalty, strength, wisdom, freedom, focus, ambition, and aspiration. As a solar symbol, it defines victory and the ability to rise above all situations.

Until next time, Grace

*You might not get your favorite animal as your spirit animal. Vote what Spirit animal you want me to do next Monday spirit animal with the most votes is the one I will do! Option 1 is the Dolphin and option 2 is the Jellyfish.*

Braddock Bay Raptor Research

On April 24, 2021, my Girl Scout Troop went to the Braddock Bay Raptor Research (BBRR) area on the south shore of Lake Ontario. In their own words, “Braddock Bay is a bird migration “hot spot” located on the southern shore of Lake Ontario just northwest of Rochester, New York. Millions of birds migrate through the area every spring as they head north to their breeding grounds.

We spent some time watching for hawks, vultures, eagles, owls, and other migratory birds. Then we went on a fun hike. BBRR does bird counts, bands birds to help track their migrations, and assists in rehabilitating injured birds. It was a fun day.

To learn more about BBRR, go to www.bbrr.org

Until next time,

Grace

I encourage you to go out to see nature!

Hi,

Here are some pictures from the many hikes we have taken this last year. Go out an enjoy places like these.  The more you do, the more you will want to protect them, and the animals that call these places home.

Until next time,
Grace

P.S. *There will be info on a Falcon spirit animal next Sunday!*

Update!

Starting today I will be posting info on the characteristics and traits of a spirit animal it won’t be on every new post. What is a spirit animal? A spirit animal is a spiritual guide that will help you through life and will help you to answer personal problems or questions but it won’t answer all of your questions, but know this your spirit animal can change as you get older and some spirit animals may have some of the same traits or characteristics.

The first spirit animal chosen is my spirit animal, The Wolf:

Characteristics of the Wolf spirit animal are Loyalty, intelligence, freedom, shrewdness, communication, compassion, friendship, trust, energy, intuition, awareness, power, spirituality, and togetherness.

*Remember this: you may not always get your favorite animal as your spirit animal meaning that your spirit animal could be an animal that you fear but that doesn’t mean your favorite animal has to stop being your favorite animal or the animal you fear has to become your favorite animal. You might feel connected with your spirit animal like I do with mine.*

Until next time, Grace
