Harmful Algee Blooms

 hi,

Harmful Algal Blooms (HABs) are found in own Cayuga Lake. Under certain circumstances, HABs can increase in size, probably due to warming waters and nutrient runoff from farm fields. HABs are not actually algae. They are bacteria and can bad for fish, birds, and humans. If you or a pet have any contact with HABs while swimming, rinse off immediately.
